Tuning Software

 

EFI Live
This is the software that is used on a day to day basis to service late model GM Camaros, Firebirds, GTO's, Corvettes, Cadillac CSTV's as well as late model GM trucks. In addition to using this software for tuning LS1's we have just purchased the EFI Live software for LS2 late model GM cars and trucks. This is used for getting log files, error codes, fixing SES lights errors etc. We have used this in conjunction with LS1edit when needed for tuning, but are starting to be used as a all-in-one tuning software. 

EFILive is both a company and a product. EFILive is a Scan Tool that began life as CarBytes which can still be downloaded and used free of charge. Carbytes is a scan tool for use with GM's 8192 baud, ALDL protocol. Carbytes was updated to work with, 8192 baud (and 160 baud) ALDL networks and was relaunched as EFILiveV4.In 2001, EFILive was completely re-written to support OBDII. The first public release of EFILive for OBDII shipped on July 01, 2002 as EFILive V5.

LS1 & LT1 edit
LS1-edit and LT1-edit are the number one tuning tools for GM V8 engines. Tune your car or truck with the same tuning tool that the pros use. LS1-edit and LT1-edit are used by professionals around the world to tune some of the fastest LS1 and LT1 based cars and trucks This is a great tool to use, for tuning your LS1 engine car. As like EFILive above, a cable is used that plugs into the diagnostic port of the car under the steering column that can alter your car’s PCM to adjust to whatever modifications you choose to do to your car. This software is launched from a laptop and can virtually change any settting in the car. This is an espically great tool used when dyno tuning.

C.A.T.S/
This program is used for tuning LT1 f-bodies. This a general purpose ECM calibration editor that allows you to make a wide variety of calibration changes to your vehicle's ECM/PCM from an easy to use Windows environment. The program locates and displays the calibration parameters in standard engineering units so there's no need to work with or even understand hex and binary numbers. Each ECM Definition file is designed to give you access to the calibration parameters required to support major engine modifications, such as Cams, larger displacement (strokers), Injector size changes, etc.

HP Tuner
The VCM Flash utility allows the user to read the VCM/PCM flash memory and save it to a binary file. All files are unencrypted allowing an advanced user complete freedom to view and modify the binary image in any suitable hex editor. VCM Flash allows a valid calibration to be written to the VCM/PCM and also incorporates an automatic VCM/PCM recovery capabilities for ultimate protection against any reflashing problems that may be encountered. The VCM Editor utility is a comprehensive VCM/PCM parameter editor. The VCM Editor allows modification of the saved binary image. The VCM Editor allows all parameters such as Spark, Fuel, RPM Limits, FAN Temps, Transmission Shift points and pressures, Speedometer settings and many, many more. The editor provides an easy to use graphical interface and many powerful table manipulation capabilities such as copying, scaling and shifting to name a few. The VCM Editor will then save a valid binary image ready to be reflashed to the VCM/PCM using the VCM Flash utility. The VCM Scanner utility is a fully featured OBDII scanning and diagnostic tool. It allows viewing, charting and logging of diagnostic data in real time via the vehicle OBDII diagnostic data port. It also allows viewing of vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) and other vehicle information. Built in VCM controls also supported. Command fans, closed loop, gear select, timing, air fuel ratio and more real time! No editor package can be considered complete without comprehensive scan tool capabilities.
