Jenn Shaffer's ProCharged 1998 V6 Firebird Engine: 3800 Series II V6 sporting a D1SC ProCharger is a heck of a step up from the P600B used in previous years. With a max of 32psi and 4.1:1 internal ratio, it's certain to turn some good numbers on the track.
2007 ended early after a daring attempt to break into the 11 second barrier on a stock engine chipped 3 pistons but failed to put a hole in the block, or keep the car out of hgih 12's.
This V6 Firebird has come a long way since it rolled off the showroom floor as a mid 15-second 5spd car. It's life as a project car started in 2003 when it was reborn at Shaffer Engineering with a custom P600B ProCharger kit... and a 14.0 second timeslip. Since its arrival at FBC in 2004, the car has been chipping off tenths at a time, with a current best of 12.113 @ 114mph on a factory engine with just tuning, nitrous, and a small pulley.
